CSR: can beer be a source of good? Buying beer for charity

If you are a beer lover you may sometimes feel bad. Bad because of consuming empty calories, bad because of the money you’re spending.

Whatever your reason may be, we have good news – you don’t need to feel guilty anymore! Breweries are more and more willing to offer profits from their beer sales to charity or to support local communities! See how brewers are trying to make the world a better place!

  • Buy a Lady a Drink

Stella Artois is once again partnering with Water.org and its Co-Founders Matt Damon and Gary White on their second ‘Buy a Lady a Drink‘ campaign. The ‘Buy a Lady a Drink’ campaign was first launched in 2015 and aims to drive awareness of the global water crisis that affects 663 million people around the world who lack access to clean water.

This year, the campaign showcases the positive impact that access to clean water can have.

“I’ve seen how the lives of women and their families can change when they get access to clean water,” said Water.org Co-Founder Matt Damon. “Access to water is access to education, access to work, access to the kind of future we want for all humankind.”

As part of the ‘Buy a Lady a Drink’ campaign, consumers are invited to purchase limited-edition Chalices. For every Chalice sold, Stella Artois will help Water.org provide five years of clean water for one person in the developing world.

  • Drink for charity

Beer manufacturers ever increasingly donate a part of their profits from beer sales to charity.  So you don’t need to do anything else, just buy a beer to help local communities, foundations and support young artists!

First of all, craft beers producers are part of this trend; so don’t hesitate to see before buying next beer, you can effortlessly make a difference in this world!
