IEG have released their forecast for sponsorship spending trends for 2017, meaning it is time for us to take a look at the results and see what lies ahead.
This year’s global sponsorship spending is projected to continue its growth at the same rate as it did in 2016. It is expected to grow by 4.5% which will mean a spend of US$62.8 billion during this year!
This continued increase in sponsorship spending will involve all regions from Europe to South America, with the greatest increase in spending once again coming from the Asia Pacific region. That region will see sponsorship increase by another 5.7% from 2016 and bring it close to overtaking Europe’s spending.
